Home Information Packs - FREE OF CHARGE
The Home Information Pack (HIP) became mandatory on 10 September 2007 for properties with three or more bedrooms. Sellers will be required to produce a HIP before their property is marketed, which will include the new energy performance certificate as well as other information relevant to the sale.
Paul Robinson Solicitors can prepare a HIP for you completely free of charge if we are acting for you as your solicitor for the sale of your property. The pack will be prepared promptly and efficiently to enable you to market your property as soon as possible through your chosen estate agent or privately as the case may be. As solicitors, we are best placed to prepare and interpret a HIP and can provide this service alongside the conveyancing work required for the property.
Clients will only be required to pay for the costs of disbursements such as searches and the Energy Performance Certificate, which should be in the region of £200.
Why should you ask Paul Robinson Solicitors to prepare your HIP?
We are the best people for the job - Given the legal content of the pack, solicitors will be able to understand and interpret the contents of the pack for you and attend to any issues arising in respect of the same.
Cut out the middle man and save costs – By asking us to prepare the pack directly, you are avoiding the inclusion of a middle man - many home owners will find that new HIP providers are large impersonal companies who do not have the local knowledge and expertise. The use of these companies will naturally increase the overall cost of the HIP.
It’s so easy – once you have asked us to prepare your HIP, we will take care of the rest and you won’t need to give it a second thought!
Attract buyers - Buyers who receive your pack will see that it has been prepared by a local reputable firm and will have added confidence in the HIP.
Paul Robinson Solicitors has a large property department. If you wish to discuss the HIP further with any of our property experts, please call us on 01702 338338 or e-mail enquiries@paulrobinson.co.uk
