Licensing Law

If you are the proprietor of an establishment which requires a licence to sell alcohol and/or provide entertainment, we are able to offer guidance with the completion of applications to Local Authorities for the new format Personal and Premises Licences which have come into force following the advent of the Licensing Act 2003.

If you carry on one or more of the four 'licensable activities' which are specified in the Act:

a) the sale by retail of alcohol
b) the supply of alcohol by or on behalf of a club, or to the order of, a member of the club
c) the provision of regulated entertainment
d) the provision of late night refreshment

then you will require the appropriate Personal and Premises Licences.
